FundaFIT: corporate fitness for colleagues

For some time now, a group of us has been training for events like the Enschede Marathon and Singelloop. But now, we’ve added something new: corporate fitness. It’s a great way to boost the physical and mental health of our team—not just through exercise itself, but by creating a healthy, energetic work environment where people feel good and collaborate better.

At Fundaments, we aim to create a workplace where everyone has the space and support to work on their personal well-being. It reflects who we are and aligns with our company culture and core values: pioneering, independent, and personal. We believe that investing in the health and well-being of our people directly contributes to a sustainable organization—one where employees work with energy, enjoyment, and motivation.

In line with that vision, we launched corporate fitness in mid-March. We believe it’s important that our employees stay fit and energized, and we actively support that. Working out together is about more than just physical activity—it also boosts mental health, strengthens team spirit, and fosters stronger connections among colleagues.

Under the expert guidance of trainers from LDPT in Enschede, we offer multiple workout sessions each week during work hours, with colleagues divided into small training groups. Every week, a varied training program is put together, carefully tailored to accommodate any limitations or injuries. This way, everyone can participate at their own level.

The initial feedback has been overwhelmingly positive! We've heard that employees feel more energetic, appreciate having an outlet for stress, and highly value the social aspect of working out together. For us, that’s a wonderful confirmation that we’re heading in the right direction.
